Extensive meteorological observations by Dr Thomas Hughes including a variety of other noteworthy events such as storms, floods, earthquakes, aurora sightings and other geophysical data and occasional phenological remarks. The casual notes include reference to a number of historical events including the victory at Trafalgar and subsequent death of Admiral Nelson in the action.
